Structural Steel Fabrication
Hot Weld Fabrication has been specialising in Steel Fabrication for over 20 years. We pride ourselves in keeping up to date with modern technology and specifications and are continually growing with these changes. Steel Fabrication involves the process of transforming steel sections into welded assemblies such as beams, columns, trusses and other structural elements used to make up and support bridges, industrial and residential buildings.
Plate Work Fabrication
Within the Hot Weld Fabrication workshop, we have a CNC plasma cutting machine and are capable of processing plate sheets up to 50mm thick. This process is used for transforming and cutting flat metal sheets into various components for use in steel fabrication, tanks, vessels, ducts and chutes.
Stainless Steel Fabrication
We have a dedicated area for the fabrication of all types of stainless-steel components and structures. We can fabricate pipe spools, agitators, platforms, handrails and any specialised components to our clients’ requirements.
Aluminium Fabrication
At Hot Weld we offer all types of aluminium fabrication services by cutting, shaping and welding of components for a wide range of applications for both industrial and residential construction projects.
Plasma Cutting
Our CNC plasma machine is capable of cutting up to 65mm thick plate including stainless steel and aluminium plates. CNC (Computer Numerical Control) plasma cutting is a precise and efficient method of cutting various materials, predominantly steel plate, using a plasma torch controlled by a computer system. It offers high accuracy and repeatability, making it suitable for both simple and intricate cutting tasks. During this process, the shape is finalised on computer-aided design software and then cut on the plasma bed by the CNC Machine.
Pipe Spools & Welding
Pipe spools are prefabricated sections of pipe that are fabricated in our dedicated workshop and then transported to the construction site for installation. These spools typically consist of straight pipe sections, bends and T-pieces welded together to form a complete pipe assembly. Welding plays a crucial role in the fabrication of pipe spools. This entire process requires carefully planning, precise execution and rigorous quality control to give our customers the product that meets their specification and the relevant industrial application.
We have a separate workshop for the fabrication of piping. We fabricate pipe spools for the conveyance of fluids and gases within various industries such as water purification, sewage treatment, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation and chemical processing. We can fabricate spools using carbon steel, stainless steel and cement lined pipe.
Blasting
Our fully contained blast booth has been specifically designed to carry out abrasive blasting of steel. Abrasive blasting is a surface preparation technique that involves propelling abrasive materials at high velocity against a surface to remove contaminants, coatings and rust to prepare the surface for further treatment.
Painting
We have a fully contained temperature-controlled spray-painting booth and an additional enclosed environmentally controlled area for the purpose of spray painting steel assemblies, automotive parts, and various other components that require painting. Spray painting is a method of applying paint or coating onto a surface using a device known as a spray gun or spray gun system.
Site Welding
We have a fleet of vehicles and fully equipped site trailers with everything needed to carry out welding on site, no matter if its in an industrial, residential or farming location. Site welding is a welding process that is carried out anywhere other than in a fabrication workshop. This involves the joining of metal components or structures directly where they will be installed or assembled. Site welding can be carried out in both new construction or for repairs to existing structures or pipelines. Various welding processes may be used for site welding, depending on the type of metal, thickness and specifications required.
Erection of Structural Steel
Our site crews have a wealth of experience in the erection of steel structures and we ensure that they are fully qualified to do so in a safe and efficient manner. The erection of structural steel involves the assembly, rigging and lifting into position fabricated steel components to create the framework of industrial buildings, residential dwellings, bridges, mining conveyors, chutes and access platforms.
Crane & Truck Hire
Hot Weld offers both wet and dry hire of cranes and truck delivery services. These are used for various lifting and materials handling tasks in construction, infrastructure projects and industrial facilities.
Shutdowns & Maintenance
Hot Weld can provide labour and equipment to carry out services for both shutdowns and maintenance projects for our clients. We pride ourselves in providing qualified personnel who will work within the framework of our mission and vision statements. Shutdowns and maintenance are planned periods of time during which industrial facilities and plants are temporarily shut down or taken out of service for maintenance, repair, inspection or for upgrade activities. These activities are essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial assets and preventing unplanned downtime or equipment failures.
